This
web site describes the canoe trip Joan and I took in late August 2007. We, and eight other intrepid souls, hired guide Alex Hall (www.canoearctic.com) to take us on a thirteen day, mainly flat water, canoe trip in the Barren Lands of the Northwest Territories of Canada. We paddled about 75 miles in all, made eight portages (the longest a little more that half a mile; including four in one day) and ran two short stretches of rapids. Despite rainy weather (it rained at least a little bit on eleven of the thirteen days) we had an enjoyable and interesting trip. |
